Innovative User Experiences
"Get It Done San Diego" is the City's official app for residents to report non-emergency problems to the City of San Diego. App users can report problems like potholes, graffiti, and illegal dumping. The City receives around 1,000 reports a day and the mobile app has been downloaded 100,000 times since the May 2016 launch.
Our users are very engaged with the City overall and their neighborhoods and are interested in what's happening on their streets. Fed by the City's data portal, this tool will allow users to see what's been reported with Get It Done and filter by type and status — just by lifting their phone.
See an existing problem? The City may already be working on a repair. The system will also allow messages to be proactively posted by the City to communicate upcoming repairs or geo-specific announcements. Over time, additional data sources can be included to inform residents of future work.
